KARATE CAMP SEES GREAT PARTICIPATION
A Karate camp held in the Jamnagar received outstanding support from the nearby areas. Sarah Razvi, probation ASP, Jamnagar who had attended the closing ceremony of the camp, was impressed with the confidence that the girls demonstrated. Razvi also gave the girls some tricks and tips for self protection. While claiming that Gujarat was the most safe state for girls in the country, "for self confidence, safety and security, girls should learn karate," insisted Razvi, adding that it can build self confidence in women.
"These kind of camps will be organized frequently so that girls can learn to defend themselves. If a girl uses this art to tackle antisocials, they will never misbehave with other women," she said and appreciated the organizers for their initiative.
Shilpa Rana, a participant of the karate camp said, "I have gained good amount of confidence due to this training camp and will continue to learn karate. Now, after this training, I feel that I can protect myself without any assistance."
